One Mind. One Soul. One Purpose. One Love.

A Letter from our President

Welcome to our website! I am so glad you’re here. My name is Vani Patel, and I have the honor of being the President of the Kappa Chapter of Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority Inc. at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for the 2025-2026 academic year. I crossed with the Chi ΔΣcιματΣ Class in the Fall of 2024. Our amazing sisters have created this page to showcase our sisterhood and the pillars that we stand for.

At Sigma Sigma Rho, we are dedicated to uplifting women, embracing diversity, and cultivating strong leadership. Our sorority is more than just an organization, it’s a home where women grow, thrive, and support one another. We believe in the unity of sisterhood, the value of education, and the power of service to leave lasting impacts both on campus and beyond.

Our pillars—Sisterhood, Society, and Remembrance, are the foundation of everything we do. From empowering women to become confident, independent leaders to giving back to the community that has given us so much, our chapter continues to leave its mark at UAB.

Over the years, our chapter has been honored with recognition and awards on both regional and national levels. But more importantly, we take pride in the everyday successes of our sisters—in academics, leadership, service, social events, and in the deep bonds of friendship that define our sisterhood. Each sister shines as a Distinguished Woman, strengthened by a network of powerful, compassionate women who inspire each other to reach new heights. With beauty, brains, and resilience, our chapter truly stands apart.

I am endlessly proud of our sisterhood and forever grateful for the chance to lead such a remarkable group of women. Together, we are building a legacy that will continue to grow, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.
